Special Services to Public And Non-Profit Agencies
CLARITY claims a great deal of experience working with public agencies and non-profit organizations. In particular, we are cognizant of and appreciate the special constraints of public stewardship, which are placed on government organizations at all levels. Our work for public boards and commissions has given us an in depth understanding of the distinction in the public sector between policy and operations. It was that unique experience and insight into government that in 1998, persuaded the Las Vegas - Clark County Library District Board of Trustees to hire FAL's Organization and Management Development Department (later CLARITY) to act as the Managing Agent of the District. CLARITY has continued to work with public sector clients on a variety of assignments, including providing training in communication and team building, facilitating management retreats, assisting in strategic planning, and developing internal coaching programs. Our public sector expertise extends to agencies at the federal, state, and local levels and we are particularly aware of the need to operate within the restrictions imposed by various statutes and regulations relating to open meetings and open records.
CLARITY has served a number of community-based non-profit organizations, including a developer of affordable housing for families and senior citizens, an organization that coordinates services and resources to at-risk citizens through neighborhood-based centers, a private foundation that provides college scholarships to disadvantaged students, and the largest Community Action Agency in Nevada.
